Looks like a nice rethink... Those big images are nicer for sure! Watch the order of where your eye is drawn - maybe ask a few other people for what they see first, second and third and see if it fits with what you want...
Thanks, as I'm working on this I'm asking my roommate/girlfriend/people at work to look at it for a couple seconds at a time to see if with a quick glance at it they can identify and remember the various buttons and which ones they notice first. I'll probably do it again as I'm fine tuning the design elements.
